This is a rather whimpy slot but it is a nice place

ACA Canyon Rating – 1B II

...all difficult places can be omitted and easily climbed around...

Therefore, no ropes are needed

NEVER ENTER ANY SLOT CANYON WHEN HEAVY RAIN IS IN THE FORECAST…!!!

 

San Ysidro Slot Canyon has some nice scrambles involving your “all-fours”

...and some difficult to maneuver- water potholes...

flow- intermittent

best season to visit- February thru April along with October and November… NEVER ENTER ANY SLOT CANYON WHEN HEAVY RAIN IS IN THE FORECAST…!!!

access- is from HWY 550… see the map below

nearest town- San Ysidro is about 2 miles southwest of here

fun fact- this is a nice place to practice canyoneering technics and methods
